


Scheduling and Fees
No referral is needed from your primary care veterinarian. Dr. Ruth Lacey is a licensed veterinarian.
SERVICES:
Dr. Ruth Lacey is a licensed veterinarian with focus on chiropractic care and food therapy. Chiropractic is provided for large and small animals - cats, dogs, horses, and FFA and 4H animals (sheep, goats, cattle, pigs, etc.). Food therapy (traditional Chinese veterinary medicine / TCVM) is provided for dogs and cats currently. Dr. Lacey may also recommend aromatherapy (health support with essential oils). No referral from your primary care veterinarian is needed. Additional holistic services are planned to be added (acupuncture, etc.). Dr. Lacey has a special interest in cats and is in process of earning her Cat Friendly Veterinarian (CVF) certificate from the American Association of Feline Practitioners. Office visits for small animals, haul in location for large animals, and farm calls or house calls are all offered in Wylie and surrounding areas of Dallas, Texas. For Virginia residents, virtual consultations are offered for food therapy. (Dr. Lacey holds veterinary licenses in Texas and Virginia.) Dr. Lacey does not offer general practice medical services or emergency services.

APPOINTMENTS:

To reschedule or cancel an appointment a minimum of 24 hours notification is required to avoid cancellation fee of $50.​ A client consent form is required. (It's short, don't worry.) You may sign a printed copy on day of appointment. A copy is attached here:

First Visit, all species (initial consult and chiropractic service): $200.
Existing patients:
Cats and dogs and other small animals: $100. If multiple in one visit: $80 per additional animal.

Chiropractic Haul In Visit (large animal) located in Wylie, Texas:
First Visit, all species (initial consult and chiropractic service): $200.
Existing patients:
Sheep and other medium animals: $120. If multiple in one visit: $100 per additional animal.
Horses and other large animals: $180. If multiple in one visit: $160 per additional animal.

Chiropractic Farm Call or House Call in the Wylie and surrounding areas of Dallas, Texas:
Hours vary, and scheduling directly is required by phone, text, or email (469) 708-8899, dr.ruthlacey@gmail.com. Also contact directly for travel service area inquiries. There is an additional Travel Service Fee: $100 minimum; fee may increase per mileage.

Natural Health Consult and Food Therapy Office Visit (dogs and cats) in Wylie, Texas:
Consult and Assessment: $100 (45 minutes). Food Therapy Recipe Formulation: $200. (Total for consult and assessment and recipe formulation: $300). Dr. Lacey's food therapy consists of a personalized and balanced home-cook diet recipe formulation from traditional Chinese veterinary medicine (TCVM) principles with particular ingredients chosen based on your pet's specific TCVM pattern and health condition for the collaborative treatment or management of your pet's medical condition(s). Clients must be very interested in preparing a home-cooked fresh diet for their pet as the pet's full diet or at least as a topper; the client must also be willing to give a nutritional supplement (powder sprinkled on food) when the pet's full diet is home-cooked. Clients may discuss more of the details during the consult and assessment appointment; if the client elects for Dr. Lacey to prepare a TCVM food therapy recipe for their pet then the additional fee will be applied.
If Dr. Lacey has seen the patient before during an in-person visit and within the past 12 months, the client may elect for a virtual appointment if preferred. For new patients, or for patients where 12 months have passed since last seeing the patient during an in-person visit, an in-person visit is required per current Texas state law regarding the veterinary-client-patient-relationship (VCPR).​

Available for clients is the MedcoVet Luma, a Class 1 home-safe photobiomodulation device for home rental or purchase use.
Rental Fee Per Week: $40 (first week the rental fee is free)
